NYC First Birthday Photographer
As an NYC first birthday photographer, there’s no question about the fact that the last year has been one of the most if not THE MOST unique year in modern history. It brought a lot of agony and pain to many people, I dare to say that no one family has been impacted by it. But it also allowed for many people an opportunity to perhaps slow down and self-reflect on personal lives, priorities in life, and things of that nature. The more and more I stay in photography, the more and more I realize the value of photographing and capturing memories, it isn’t done for the current moment, it’s done for the future – here’s little something we wrote about this topic 5 months ago.
If there’s a will, perhaps there’s away. This is the story of Grayson. He was born during the eye of the World Storm and although we couldn’t both legally and ethically see and photograph him at that time, he was one of our virtual – newborn sessions. We have a blog on this particular session and you can read it here, but this entry is the rest of the story.
A few months later, after we moved our location, we opened back up to see our clients. It was an honor and pleasure to see this little guy back again for his 100 Days Session.
We used Mommy’s Milk for Milk Bath Setup, to those wondering – yes, Grayson was warm, and mommy’s hands in the image were intentional š
We also did a Wild One Setup for Grayson. Two things that babies at this age group can do (3-4months) well are on the back and leaning back. Tummy Time is best when the baby is close to 4 months.
Some time passed by and Grayson’s parents reached out to us for the holiday sessions. Unlike the previous Holiday Sessions (here) this 2020 year was very different. We scheduled fewer sessions, they were spaced out much more but we got to see many familiar faces.
As 2021 kicked in, we got the news that we’ll see Grayson again. By this time, he was such a big boy š It might have been a rough start of a year but it was a sweet end of the Watch Me Grow.
