Cake Smash Session Brooklyn NYC Photographer. Kallen turns ONE!  He was such an amazing little guy at the session. He was full of smiles the entire session but once he was presented with a cake, all to himself, the serious side came out! Can you blame him? When is he going to get a cake all to himself and be allowed to make a mess 🙂 Its a once in a lifetime opportunity for sure. He was serious but he smashed his cake like a pro, he also found it to be super tasty 🙂 His mom contacted me to book a session and mentioned to me that dad is a coast guard, his room is nautical themed and they would love to incorporate something nautical in the session. I had so much fun brainstorming for their session and coming up with ideas.

Mom ordered the most adorable cake smash outfit for him on Etsy. Its one of my favorite place to shop as well 🙂 Very addicting lol Kallen’s parents brought is some items form his nursery that were nautical-themed to incorporate in to the session and it worked out really well. Everything came together, the scene, outfits and backgrounds. I love when parents email me outfits and idea they have ahead of time so no time is wasted at the session. After all a one year old wont have patience for us to figure it all out 🙂 This way when they got to the session everything was ready to go and we were able to begin the session with no time wasted. Its so great when parents get involved and are relaxed, sessions always go well. Thank you to Kallan’s parents for choosing Picture Perfect NY to photograph their baby’s cake smash session!
