Professional Baby Photography in New York City
Shivanch came to visit us for his first professional portrait session at 6 weeks old. His parents missed the newborn stage & really wanted to do a session before he got any bigger. We explained to them that it would not be a typical newborn session, and they were completely accepting and understanding. During the session, Mom & dad were very laid back and allowed us to work our magic.
Typically it is best to do a newborn session when the baby is 14 days or younger. In the case of a 6-week-old baby, we usually achieve different types of poses because the baby is bigger and more alert. Sometimes the baby happens to fall asleep, like Shivanch did, so we can attempt to do some different types of posing. This little guy happened to fall asleep in the middle of the session and we quickly moved to do some sleepy poses. Whether or not the baby is awake or asleep we still achieve cute baby images. We used our moon prop, which babies love to just relax on. :) We also wrapped Shivanch up and placed him into a wooden bowl and that is exactly where Shivanch happened to fall asleep as he was snug as a bug. Every session we do has a unique twist to it as no baby is the same and is full of their own personality! I have to say that the session went well, and we were able to get both awake and sleepy poses. Mom and Dad loved their images when they received them! Below are some of my favorites.
