It was such a pleasure to capture Jax’s First Birthday milestone photos a few weeks ago with Dr.Suess being the theme for the cake smash! We photographed his big brother’s First Birthday as well. They are just the sweetest duo. Always a smile on their face 🙂 So fun to work with and a delight to capture those adorable faces! We also photographed Jax’s newborn session which can be found here. Time sure does fly awfully fast! When mom contacted me to schedule his First Birthday Session I was a bit surprised how time flew. She mentioned she wanted to do the Dr. Seuss theme THING ONE AND THING TWO and I was excited. I thought it was adorable and such a great classic! After all Dr. Seuss is one of the most beloved children’s authors of all time; for many people, a Dr. Seuss book like Green Eggs and Ham or Hop on Pop was the first book they ever learned how to read. Using humorous rhymes, delightful illustrations, and a wild imagination, Dr. Seuss was perhaps the first author to make reading fun, both for kids and for their parents and teachers. In 6 years this was the second time this theme was requested so I was super excited to do it. Jax gave us lots of smiles during his session and his big brother did an amazing job. After all his BIG brother is still a baby and he got through the photo session so smoothly. The boys both rocked it once again!
As a Brooklyn, NY photographer, I find it to be such an honor when families return to us for other sessions. To watch their children grow and build their personalities and to see that shine through the images is heartwarming.
