Sophia’s One Year Birthday!
You may recognize this cute little face enjoying her Parisian Cake Smash Session. This is Sophia, from the outdoor pedal car series! During the time of that previous session, she was only 9 months old. Look how much she has grown in between the last three months!
As you can see, Sophia’s favorite color is still pink. For her one year old birthday, she decided to come into the studio to visit us for her session. Sometimes parents schedule photography sessions on the day of their children’s birthday, and other times, the photography sessions are done before or after their birth date.
This session was absolutely special to me, as I had the privilege of photographing Sophia throughout her first year of life. I was very excited that I got to capture her milestones every few months so that her and her parents could forever treasure them.
Before we introduced the cake however, we took a few photographs of our ONE year old setup. Notice how Sophia is giggling in the last picture, knowing that next she’s going to spoiled with yummy cake!
Our Parisian Cake Smash
The inspiration for this cake smash came from none other than Paris itself! As Sophia loves the color pink, we kept pink within the photography session’s color scheme. With a purple background complimenting the pink, the pink stood out even more.
Sophia chose to wear a white romper for this session, with its ruffles matching the texture of her cake. She also chose to accessorize with a cute floral headband, featuring a pop of gold.
I had a lot of fun designing this session, from the props to the backdrop. For props, I decorated the background with an Eiffel Tower to match the backdrop, as well as florals, poofs, and a white heart.
As you can see, Sophia approved of the cake, putting her leg in it to help her eat it all! She even laughed and giggled as she wasn’t sure the cake was all for her.
