Book Your Holiday Portraits in NYC
It’s that time again… ok, this isn’t an advertisement, but a bit about our holiday portraits. Every year, sometime in late July, or early August, Angela starts planning the holiday sessions. Naturally, she’s asking me which backgrounds I like; naturally, I answer “Whatever you like”, which leads to something along the lines of “You’re no help”. Eventually, she chooses the backgrounds that will be used this year, and then we pull out props we already own and start shopping for new props. Sometimes, we take a small drive to the local furniture store, and sometimes we cross 4 state lines to pick up new props. Once everything is set and done, we will start having fun… Yes, even after nearly 10 years of studio operations, it is still fun.
This year, we have three sets. Here’s the little video clip that we have up on our Instagram page. The In-Front of Christmas store is a general, neutral background that can be used for both formal and informal pictures. It offers opportunities to capture the child interacting. The fireplace, one of my favorites of all time, is more for formal pictures. It is a big background, easily photographing a family, and can be used for formal and informal pictures as well. The cabin, Angela’s favorite, is more about those moments when it’s hot on the outside and warm on the inside. It is great for pajamas, offers a cozy environment, and allows us to capture kids being relaxed.
With that in mind, we are blessed & honored to have returning clients and would like to share a few images from all three sets from this session.
As always, we are honored, privileged, and thankful to our clients… who made sure that our holiday session extravaganza was sold out within hours of being announced.
