Cake Smash Photography Portrait Session
Let’s talk about a cake smash photography portrait session. Recently we had the pleasure of capturing Miss Yara. Nearly all of our sessions have something unique about them and this one isn’t less important than the rest. When Yara’s mommy contacted us about the cake smash session, the only prerequisites she requested were to keep the session theme the color purple and to incorporate butterflies. The reason for butterflies is because Yara (baby’s name) in Arabic means butterflies; purple is because Yara’s birthstone is Amethyst. Once we got the details we needed, the preparation started. We tell parents all the time if we have time to prepare, a lot is possible. We had the scene set up the night before, test shots to see the best way to light the scene, and the day of the session we were ready to go.
